Department was started in the year 2010 and has grown leaps and bounds. Being the first department to get 100 watt Holmium laser in South Karnataka, we were the first to start Super specialty course in the university and First MCh Urology in Dakshina Kannada. First 3D laparoscopy in Dakshina Kannada was installed in our department. Department has installed daVinci robot system and performed around 30 renal transplants. Yenepoya Medical College is the first medical college center in South India to do Robotic Renal transplant. Patient care is the foundation and the premier obligation of our department and the highest excellence in patient care is our goal.
