Psycho-oncology deals with psychological, social, behavioural and emotional aspects of cancer diagnosis and treatment as well as providing the necessary psycho-social support required by the patients to cope with cancer, including communication with providers and loved ones.
The department of psycho-oncology aims to provide holistic psycho-social care to the cancer patients and their caregivers with the objective to address their fears and concerns associated with cancer and help them enhance the quality of life.
